Additively Manufactured Metal Seismic Fuses

PhD student Hamdy Farhoud is leading the Additively Manufactured Metal Seismic Fuses project at ARC-Lab. This project focuses on developing metal seismic fuses designed to absorb seismic energy during earthquakes, protecting the main structural elements from damage. By utilizing additive manufacturing, Hamdy is working to create precise and effective fuses that enhance the safety and resilience of buildings in seismic zones.
